Heritage Day is an opportunity to bring the whole family and learn about an event in mining history involving a shootout between UMWA miners and Baldwin-Felts detectives that took place on May 19, 1920. The Award winning Matewan Drama Group will recreate the Battle of Matewan with two productions at 12pm and 4pm. Enjoy live music performances between these shows as well as vendors, an antique car cruise in, museums and more!
